The well was drilled before we closed on the land to make sure we'd find water.

 

The driveway is a steep challenge. We will miss the trees that had to come out.

The road sweeps around toward where the garage will eventually be.

The foundation. That's a lot of concrete!

 

The slab has a polished section for the livable space of the walkout basement and the unpolished section for garage and storage areas.

April 18. The scenic septic tanks are in.

 

August 10. They have dug the trench for electricity from meter to house.

October 4. The septic system is being installed. This will be a Glendon Biofilter System. There will be three mounds of sand over three tanks like the one already in place.

 

Here is the next step in installing the Glendons.

October 11. These are the heating coils buried in the driveway for the ground-source heating system.

 

October 11. This week, what once was and will again be our driveway, became part of the heating system for the house. Seven foot deep trenches in the driveway now hold the coils for our ground-source heatpump.

October 19. All three glendon mounds are finished.

 

Feb 13, 2009. The power company finally has hooked up the electricity to the well pump.
