Hi! :) Thanks for checking out my webpage! My name is Hiba (pronounced Hee-ba), and I am a first-year PhD student in Computer Science at Duke University, where I conduct research in the InSPiRe Lab under the guidance of Dr. Pardis Emami-Naeini.

I am broadly interested in security, privacy, and human-computer interaction. My research focuses on understanding users' privacy and security experiences, designing privacy-preserving solutions that address their needs, and informing policy regulations.

Before starting my PhD, I received a dual B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and Data Science from Duke University and Duke Kunshan University. During that time, I worked on several projects related to HCI, including my Bachelor thesis on privacy during times of social unrest.
