How To Make Cassie Cake

This cake is made from a combination of 2 9-inch round cake pans for the body, one small circle pan (I have a round ceramic bowl that is about 5 or 6 inches in diameter) for the head, and lots of regular sized cupcakes and mini-cupcakes.

When putting the cakes together, I cut some pieces out. For example, in the body below, I use one complete 9-inch round cake and cut the overlapping part out of the second round one to make the body appear long. For the tail, you can either use cupcakes as shown in the diagram, or you can use part of the cake part that was cut out of the body (I think that is what I actually did).
