If you know the addresses of any of these persons, send email to Sharon (Duckworth) Gupton (dgupton@mindspring.com)

Cost

Cost of tickets for reunion is $25 per person. This is for Saturday night only.

Click here for the ticket form. Send in as soon as possible! Preferably by Sept. 21!

It is important for you to understand the costs associated with the reunion. Here is a list of the expenses that must be included in the cost of the reunion tickets: Pullen Park shelter, restaurant setup, DJ, mailing, expenses, postage, minimal decorations and advertising, and finally the cost per person. It was amazing to us, but even though we tried to hold down the cost of our reunion, the ticket price really becomes quite high rather quickly. See sponsorship below.

Help Sponsor

We would like to offer advertising or recognition space to those of you who would like to serve as sponsors for our reunion. If we receive enough in sponsorship funds, the cost of the reunion will be dramatically reduced for the rest of our class members - some who may not be able to attend if costs are too high.

Will you be willing to help? We need to raise at least $1500.00. This would bring the cost of the ticket down to $25.00 per person. Obviously, if we get more than the $1500.00, we will continue to reduce the price of the tickets. (For anyone who is now commenting to themselves about the expensive taste of the reunion committee, you are hereby elected to chair our 30th. Believe us, this is as inexpensive as you can get and still offer the special event our classmates have indicated they want for the 10th year reunions).

UPDATE 9/17/99 We have received $1100 in contributions. Please continue to send in contributions. We will assume we will make $1500 and set the ticket price at $25 per person.

We will list all contributors who wish to be listed under either their personal or business name, and under the following categories.

Bronze Members $100.00 and under
Silver Members $101.00 - $250.00
Gold Members $251.00 - $500.00
Platinum Members $500.00 and above

** For a $1500.00 contribution, we'll name the reunion after you!

Please make checks payable to Sanderson Reunion Committee. If you choose to list under your business, and would like to put out business cards, flyers, etc. we will provide a place.

Detail on Events

Friday, Oct. 22nd

7:00pm Sanderson Homecoming Game at Wakefield High
After Jillians - downtown sports bar

The Homecoming game will be at Wakefield High School. To get there, follow Falls of the Neuse Road north (like you are going Wake Forest). The high school is on the right (keep going until you see it. If you reach Hwy 98, you've gone too far). Pass the school and the next right is Wakefield Pines Dr. You will park somewhere off of this road. You can't miss it! - Tickets $5.00 each. You can purchase them at the gate the night of the game.

Jillians - We named Jillians as after the game meeting place because we thought it would be a fun place for people who want to go out after the game to meet. There are many new restaurants and gathering places downtown - all within walking distance from each other.

Saturday, Oct. 23rd

11:00am Pullen Park - picnic
7:00pm It's Prime Only - reunion party

Pullen Park - We have reserved a large shelter. Bring your family and a picnic lunch.

It's Prime Only - You may remember this restaurant by a different name - it has been many different places over the years. It is the restaurant that overlooks Crabtree Valley Mall. If we have enough people in attendance, we will have the entire restaurant to ourselves. They will serve heavy hors d'oeuvres and there will be a cash bar. John Van Pelt and Matt Stewart will be our DJs.

Sunday, Oct. 24th

1:00pm Shelley Lake - picnic

There is no shelter to reserve here - we will gather on the flat area beside the lake. Bring your family and a picnic.

Accommodations

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Ramada Inn - Crabtree (phone: (919)-782-7525). They will be $56.00/night. Make your reservations early - they will hold the rooms in a block until Oct. 8th. Accommodations are listed under, "Sanderson Class Reunion."

If you prefer to stay with a classmate, call Jo. She will find a classmate in town to host you.

If you live in Raleigh and would like to host a classmate from out of town please call Jo.

Child Care

We will furnish child care the night of the reunion. We have reserved a hospitality room at the Ramada for all of the kids and their caretakers. I will supply the caretakers - A couple of responsible adults and youth from my church. There will be a reservation form for you to fill out later. If you want a child care provider for Friday night as well, I will find one for you.
