Postdoctoral positions at Duke database group


The database group at Duke Computer Science invites applications for multiple postdoctoral positions. Candidates with a proven research record and having a solid mathematical background, skills in algorithm design and system building, and good mentoring ability will be given preference. Based on his/her background and interests, the candidate will have an opportunity to work on projects in various areas such as data exploration/analysis, query optimization, and privacy.

The starting time is flexible. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, with a possibility of renewal for an additional year by mutual interests.

Candidates are required to have a PhD in Computer Science by the joining date. Applications can be sent by email to db-postdoc@cs.duke.edu with the subject "db postdoc application". The email should include (1) an updated resume, (2) a short research statement describing prior research projects and interests, (3) the names and email ids of three reference letter writers
