I graduated with a PhD from Duke working with Prof. Jeff Chase as my advisor. My graduate work focused on building software systems and services more trustworthy and easy to use. I worked on a project called Secure Access For Everyone (SAFE) that aims to provide identity, authentication, authorization, and auditing services for federated clouds.
SAFE enables trust policies to be specified declaratively using a language abstraction called safelang. Safelang is powerful enough to specify and implement GENI trust architecture based on cooperative resource sharing across campus networks within 150 SLOC. For a quick overview of SAFE, check this presentation or this report. For a detailed overview, refer to my thesis.
